Sri K G Sridharan, a retired chemical and industrial engineer, has deeply studied about temple rituals and
practices particularly of Vaishnavite temples.  He has been closely associated with the design and construction
of the temple complex presided by sri Venkateshwara in a hillock in Nerul, Mumbai, India and also a founder trustee of Sri Narasimha Sabha, Navi, Mumbai which manages Sri Balaji Mandir.

The objective of the presentationn would be to share the knowledge and experience about (1) the significance of temple worship in general (2) Design, philosophy of Hindu temples in general (3) Prathishta / Stapana / Kumbabhishegam  - how and when the deity gets the power to bestow the benefits on the sorshippers and the steps involved in the pratishta of a typical Vaishnavite temple (4) the daily rituals in a Hindu temple - of Saiva and Vaishnavite agama (5) Utsavas and their significance.

The presentation will also touch upon the daily activities of the tirumala temple and a guide to the temple visit and the various Arjitha Sevas (paid sevas).

This is an excellent opportunity for our members--especially Gen Y--to understand the significance of temple worship and seek direct clarifications at the Q & A session.
