3.2 SHUTTLE BADMINTON TOURNAMENT
The Sabha will be conducting a Special Sports Event in commemoration of the 75th Anniversary Celebrations of the Sabha. All members and their families are invited to participate in the Shuttle Badminton Tournament of this millennium scheduled to be held during 13, 14, 20 & 21 of March 1999 (just after the school exams). Mark your calender and keep the dates FREEEEE!Snatch this golden opportunity and be a WINNER. Every participant will receive "Participation Certificate". This is yet another opportunity for lots of social interactions and togetherness to continue the bonding within our community.
Early bird entries will receive attractive prizes. Special invitation is extended to the senior members of our Sabha who are 60 years and above to come and participate and celebrate the "International year of the Older Persons 1999".

5. ANNOUNCEMENT
5.1 APPEAL FOR SUPPORTThe Management Committee of Sri Raja Rajeswari Temple, Ulu Kelang, Kuala Lumpur have embarked on an ambitious programme to expand and upgrade the temple facilities. In this respect the temple has been accorded the opportunity to acquire a prime land (3/4 of an acre) adjacent to its present premises at a discounted price of RM2.4 million. The land will be used for the construction of a multi storey complex, wherein a multi purpose hall for a variety of religious festivals, wedding ceremonies, meetings and religious seminars,talks,lectures and cultural shows, studio rooms for music classes, yoga and meditation, guest rooms for outstation and overseas visitors and a basement parking area has been envisaged. However the enitre development project will depend on public donations. They have appealed for our generous support. Funds received for this purpose will be handled by a professional accounting firm to oversee the operations and management of the fund. 5.2 VEENA LESSONS
Veena classes on a one-to-one basis will be taught by Mrs.Gayathri Ramachandran, at her residence, 19 Toh Tuck Road, #04-01 Greenlodge, Singapore 596683. Interested members may kindly contact her at 467-8694. 6. THANKS & ACKNOWLEDGEMENT 6.1 MANDALA VEDA PARAYANAM:The parayanam was completed successfully with the enthusiastic support of the members. The Sabha once again thank the hosts for their kind gesture in holding the parayanam in their houses.
6.2 SASTHA PREETHI
Our annual Sastha Preethi function on 1st Jan 1999 was celebrated in a very grand manner with good attendance. This success would not have been possible without your participation, assistance and co-operation. On behalf of the Sabha, the Management Committee extends a very BIG THANK YOU! The Sabha’s 75th Anniversary Souvenir Magazine was launched on that day.
6.3 VOCALCONCERT
The Sabha wishes to thank all the members who attended the vocal concert by Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan and those who have helped for the successful staging of the concert. Our Sabha member Sri R. Ganesh(OG-22) has sent in his review of Sri Santhanagopalan's concert.
7. REMINDER
7.1 SUBSCRIPTION FOR THE YEAR 1999
The ordinary membership fees for 1999 will fall due on 1st Jan 1999 and there are no changes in the rates. The applicable rates are as follows: For members residing in Singapore & Malaysia :S$50.00 For members residing in other countries :S$70.00Please note that the subscription is on a calendar basis and all ordinary members are required to pay the subscription for 1999 by 1st Jan 1999.
